Question 1 - Single Best Answer
What is the significant x-ray finding on the above film?
C) Focal alveolar density in the right middle lobe
Sorry...
The densities on this film are bilateral and span greater than any one lobe on each side. An alveolar infiltrate in the right middle lobe distribution would be seen as a focal fluffy density and may obscure the right heart border. Additionally, air bronchograms are not seen in this image. Air bronchograms suggest consolidation of the lung which would be consistent with a pneumonia.
